Our Two Matts

My friend Jen over at The Adventures of 3 Boys and 1 Girl emailed me a few days ago to inform me that People Magazine had finally, finally chosen Matt Damon as their "Sexiest Man Alive." Well, basically she wanted to know what the hell had taken them so long, and that she could have told them that years ago. If she didn't already have such a cutie for a husband (Hi Toby!)(Don't tell him I said that!), I'm sure she would have been pursuing Matt quite a while ago. So for an early Christmas gift, I gave her this:

Well, actually I gave her the whole magazine, not just the picture of the cover. We had the magazine to entertain us on the drive out to BFE on Friday to pick up the vanity I wrote about in my last post. Thanks for going out there with me Jen, because it made what would have been a boring drive quite entertaining. I remember a lot of giggling, and I don't think it was coming from the backseat.

Anyway...while she has the hots for Matt Damon, I am in love with another Matt, who I would drop my husband for in a milosecond. I am of course, talking about Matthew McConaughey.

Now, the reason this is all related is because when I did a search for the Frank Caliendo bit on You Tube that I used a few posts ago, I came across a short clip of Matt Damon doing an impression of Matthew McConaughey on the David Letterman show. I guess it's from about a year or so ago, but the impression was so dead-on that I have new respect for Matt Damon. It still makes me laugh every time I watch it. And I think one of the funniest parts of it all is the reaction from David Letterman. So, here's the clip, just because I think it's hilarious.

Please pay no attention to the title of the clip on You Tube, which is "Matt Damon Does Matthew McConaughey." Because that would be an entirely different post, and one that I'm sure either neither Jen nor I would care for.

"Hey, this ain't Broken Mountain!" - Michael Scott

"Not that there's anything wrong with that." - Jerry Seinfeld

"Oh yes, there sure as hell would be." - Shelley and Jen

There sure would be hell to pay!!!! Thanks for posting Matt all over your blog, now I don't have to search for him. By the way, you did make me laugh and I needed that today.

I don't know if you get these by email, or if they're just going off to never-never-blogland, but hopefully you'll get these comments. :p

I like Matt Damon, but only as Jason Bourn. :) But, I have to say, my favorite, and I've really liked him in almost every role he's played is Mark Wahlberg. :)
