Currently, according to weather.com, we are:
Mostly Sunny 110°F
Yes, that says 110 degrees Fahrenheit. I guess the good news is that with 5% humidity, it says that 110 actually feels like 110. I'd hate to have it feel hotter.
Last Tuesday when we went to the zoo, it was 81 degrees. And it was a cool 81, what with the overcastness and the breeze. Yesterday was our first 100 degree day of the year, at 105. That did not set a record by any means, as our earliest ever 100 degree day was March 26th.
I do believe, however, that this is our earliest 110 degree day. And I think this is the first time in history that we've ever followed our first 100 degree day with our first 110 degree day. Insanity, I tell you.
What's even crazier is the forecast for the next few days:
Tonight
May 19
Mostly Clear
80°
0% Precip
Yes, that's a LOW of 80 degrees.
Tue May 20
Sunny
107°/78°
0% Precip
Wed May 21
Mostly Sunny / Wind
94°/69°
0% Precip
Thu May 22
Partly Cloudy
74°/63°
20% Precip
Wait just a dang minute...does that say SEVENTY FOUR degrees for the high? What the hell? That's about 20 degrees below normal. And that's four days after we hit 110. They're having frost warnings in Ohio. I know this, because Lish rubs my nose in it. Hi Lishie! :)
Fri May 23
Isolated T-Storms
81°/64°
30% Precip.
Yeah, it's supposed to rain on Friday.
Ten bucks says it doesn't. Because this is Arizona.
I'm freezing right now, at work. Glad I keep a jacket at the office.

Cha wha! It's like 56 here.
OMFG. I like me some summer, but 110 in MAY?
We never did get frost, but I don't think we've hit 60 for a high in the last couple of weeks niether.
We are supposed to hit 80 by Memorial Day...unless they're just teasing us with summer weather since it's the unofficial first day of summer.
I may just be able to get the kids their pool pass since the pool finally opens that day. I was wondering if it was ever going to warm up enough for it!
Wanna know something funny? We're wondering if the water is going to be warm enough to swim NEXT Sunday. Because when it's still in the 70s at night, the water doesn't stay warm like it does in the summer. We don't normally go in the water until it's at least 83 or so, and even that is chilly. We're used to our swimming water being around 87-88 degrees. Cause we're wimpy like that. lol I hope you get your 80 for Memorial Day!
OMG... 110?!? I am shaking my head in disbelief!
It was 106 here on Sunday and today, the high was 78. I hope we stay under 100 for a while. We usually get June Gloom and then its hot in July and Aug. Yuck. AZ sounds like it's hotter than hot!!! Glad you are having some cool days so you can get out and have fun! Enjoy!
It's been hella hot here too, but I guess I must have whined about it too much because now it's 80 degrees, which is great except for the 850 mile an hour wind. :(
