The First Day of Fall

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Hooo heeee ha ha ha. Ho ho hahahahahahahahaha. Ahem. So, today is the first day of fall. Every year, this sends me into a giggling fit. Why? Today's high will be 101 degrees. Yay, Fall! *sob*

Here's what fall should look like. Cool breezes, beautiful leaves, hot soup on the stove, the smell of pumpkins and spice in the air.

Reality blows.

Yeah well, your ass won't be encased in ice on the first day of winter. I'm just sayin'.

And I'm not happy with you because you left me alone with the Twink and talking all day to customers who make me itch. Feh.

Fannie - Some ice sounds nice right now. Maybe if I sat in the freezer...

Bonnie - I'm sorry. At least you don't have to talk with her and you're on the other side. :)

LOL - Happy Autumn! We finally cooled off, we're getting a cool breeze from the ocean and it feels fabulous! Finally, the air current shifted so we aren't getting the heat from the desert. I only sweated my arse off for the last 6 months.

Someone on my friend's list did mention it was the first day of fall. Oh, yeah, that's right. Can I wiggle my fingers from my nose? It was 57 degrees this morning. ;) I'm evil.

I'm sorry to say that fall doesn't even look like that up here in Ohio... It'll be a month yet at least. ;)

The first day of fall doesn't have me thrilled though, as we have to get our boiler running again. Aye...with gas prices? *sigh*

I just read in the Denver Post, that this weekend is the peak weekend for the leaves in the mountains. But they are complaining that it will be in the 70's up there to " escape the torrid heat wave about to hit Denver" They are talking about 86 degrees on Friday. That's it. We are atill lucky to have our lowers slightly lower than that this time of year

We have 82 degrees and pristine skies, so I can't complain. Well, yes I could. But about other things.

But I won't.

Enjoy your day. ;)

Up here in New England the leaves are begining to look like your picture, except it is raining hard from tropical storm Kyle.

You seem to have a beautiful family and wonderful sense of humor. I hope you will continue to protect their future by paying attention to what is happening in our country. I imagine, from some of your posts that you tend to be conservative, but this country doesn't need a President who is willing to send our sons and daughters to war, and McCain seems much too willing to do that.
Be healthy and have fun.
