My Two Boys

I have two boys in this house.

This is Bo. He's about 10 years old, so a senior citizen, as far as dogs go. He's a Chug (Chihuahua/Pug mix). Way back when I got him from the shelter, he was just a "mutt." Now he has a fancy name.

This is Luke. He's a beagle, about 8 months old. Did you know that beagles don't so much bark, as they do howl? I didn't. I do now.

We've had Bo for about 9 years. We rescued him from a shelter when he was about a year old.

Steve got Luke from a shelter when he moved to Denver six months ago. Luke kept him company when he was living in an apartment by himself.

The two of them met each other nine days ago. Since Bo is like an old man, and Luke is more like a toddler, you'd think they wouldn't be much interested in each other.

And this is what they do. All. Day. Long.

It looks a lot like what boys in real life do all day too! Oh, and I tagged you. :)

Dogs, teenage girls, dogs, teenage girls.... All the same. Howling, wrestling, all day long. Lucky you!

My little-big sister is a 17 year old miniature poodle (yep, she's ANCIENT!), and I'm an almost year old goldendoodle (to give you an idea, she's 18 lbs, and I'm 50+). And before I showed up TaiChi (my little-big sister) mostly just slept. But now? She plays with me - and even initiates it alot of the time. She still sleeps a lot, but now she actually plays - something Mom and Dad said she NEVER did before. So you CAN teach old dogs new tricks! Heehee!

That what it looks like here except that would be Chris as Bo and Justin or Mitch or Grace as Luke.

Oh my gosh! I had to laugh!! As you know, I have two girl dogs and they do the same thing! They never get tired of it. It wears me out. Of course, they start up the minute I get on the phone or want to watch tv. Just like kids!!

P.S. I did know that about beagles, that's why I don't have one.

So cute! I miss having two dogs now. Thank goodness they get along. We are worried about getting another one in case they don't get along. This makes me believe Max may accept another dog. The Animal Defense League here lets you bring your other animal with you when you are looking for a pet. I really like that.

Yep. Only here it is two beagles. And I (and my neighbors) know all about the howling!

That's the sweetest love story Bossy has ever read.
