I found out there are some parks here that have cherry blossom trees. And since I've only ever seen cherry blossom trees in pictures and never in real life, we decided to go to City Park in downtown Denver last Sunday to see the trees.
So last Sunday, five days ago, we were all:
And yesterday, it was so warm and sunny on my back patio that the dogs decided to soak it in. They laid around out there all afternoon. Maybe they knew...
That this would be the view from my bedroom window right now.
Anyway, I know it's not May quite yet, but it looks like January out there! April 23rd, and it's snowing like crazy. Spring in Colorado is wild, crazy, warm, cold, rain, thunder, lightning, tornados, and now apparently, snow. It'll be gone in two days, but I love it. I love the randomness that is this weather. It's like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

We get similarly schizophrenic weather!
What?! That sucks! Keep it there!
Shelley,
I have no idea what happened, but my Google reader dropped your blog. Now, I've got to get busy and catch up!
I was just in your fine state last week and the weather was AMAZING! I couldn't believe it could actually be snowing at times, but I never felt cold.
The only thing this tropical girl couldn't get used to was the dryness. I woke up everyday with a bloody nose. And my skin was like an alligator's by the time we left. I sure miss the mountains and that gorgeous, balmy weather, but I was so happy to come home to my humidity.
The drama! I don't miss the weather drama. I like every day to be not too much different from the day before. Glad you love it!
My son loves it too. I think I would probably start crying. I love me some sunshine!
Wisconsin has been a lot like that, too. Definitely crazy! Beautiful cherry blossoms - those are my favorite kind of tree!
I almost choked on my coffee! Snow?? You know I don't do snow. and I would most definitely NOT like snow in April!!
So glad that you like it there! I just couldn't live where there was a random chance of snow...you know...any time!
