Matchbox 20 is coming in concert here, March 17th! Yay! Danni and I would love to go, so I thought it would be fun to get two tickets and put them under the Christmas tree. The tickets go on sale Monday. If I get the seats I want, two tickets are going to run me about $100. I could buy the $24 grass seats, but I sat there last time and you're basically watching the concert on the monitors.
So, I think as a present to myself (and Danni) I will be sitting in front of the computer on Monday morning at 10am, gettin' me some tickets. Woohoo!
(Editor's note: There was some other ranting here that has now been deleted. After a couple of days, I realized that the person that I was ranting about would probably be quite hurt if they ever happened to run across what I had written. I don't think this person sees themself as being that way at all, and while it makes me crazy, I would not want to hurt that person's feelings as I know it would. And yes, I realized I have mixed singular and plural pronouns here, but I decided to go with the gender-neutral, and therefore grammatically incorrect. Which probably doesn't matter to anyone but me.)
In other news, I had my morning all planned out today. Today is payday, so I was going to finish the Christmas shopping. Gift cards for two nephews and a niece, a nice set of knives for my mother-in-law, couple more things for Steve and I was done. Done done done. I had it all mapped out, and it fit quite nicely into the 3 hours that Kylie would be in preK this morning.
Except she didn't go.
She threw up a little this morning. Then I gave her some Sprite, and she threw that up too. She has no fever, and now she's saying she feels fine. So I have no idea what was up with that. By 10am she was racing around like a maniac, so we did go out and finish most of the shopping. I am almost done. Yay!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!! Are you serious? MB20, ROB THOMAS (I LOVE HIM, I LOVE HIM AND I SO FREAKING LOVE HIM). It's been 2 years since I have seen him. AND my hubby bought me the tickets. BUT (and this is a HUGE BUT) we were just newly dating (3 months), so that's why. OMG... back to MB20, did I say I love them?!?!? Cuz I do. CAN I GO TOO????????????????
Okay, focus here...I have to let it go. (rob thomas) I am sooooooooo sorry you are having a hard time. I, too, (rob thomas) have been having a sucky time and I have wrote about it some on my blog. It just stinks when you just want to hop a jet (to wherever Rob Thomas is) with a one way ticket and never look back.
Sorry... you totally threw me for a loop when your opening line was seeing Rob Thomas in the flesh. And you are soooooooo right about his ability and what an amazing artist he is. Of course being drop dead gorgeous to boot, is a bonus.
Must stop commenting now... but I will leave you with... ROB THOMAS IS COMING TO YOUR AREA LIVE!!! *squealing like a school girl*
You all can keep Rob Thomas...did I hear mention of ZEPPELIN?
Okay, you can tell Steve that you're adopting me. He gets a 'kid' who enjoys the same music as he does, and I get to escape the 17 inches of snow that's expected.
Deal? ;)
Well Lishie, I hate to disappoint, but as usual, he got his "facts" mixed up, exaggerated, whatever you want to call it. Apparently LZ played ONE show in London on Nov 26th, and tickets were $250 for that show. According to what I've been reading online, while Jimmy Page is quite willing and Dave Grohl has offered his drumming services, Robert Plant is saying it's not gonna happen. *shrug*
I would like to come visit for your 17 inches of snow though. It sounds beautiful. It was in the 30s when we woke up this morning, but for it to get that cold it has to be really clear, no cloud cover.
Onthego, you crack me up! I know, I get distracted everytime anyone says Rob Thomas too, and yes there are days (and yesterday was one of them) that I want a one way ticket to wherever he is. Do you think he'll leave his beautiful model wife for me? I like to think he would. Let's let me live in my delusion for a while. :)
And hell yes, you can come with us, that would be a blast! I don't know the tour schedule, maybe they're coming somewhere near where you live?? *crossing my fingers* I last saw him at our state fair two years ago on his solo tour, and it was AWESOME! When he came out on stage and his first words to the crowd were "Hey babies!" with the cutest grin you've ever seen, I screamed like...well, like a schoolgirl. Hee.
So, are you getting the tickets on Monday? Can you get 4 and I'll go too? I'll even pay you on Monday ;).
Oh, I only need 1 ticket huh? Guess that would be 3 not 4.
Yes, I'm planning on being in front of the computer on Monday at 10am and buying them then. I can get you one...two? I'll talk to you tonight, Ky and I are coming to Charlie Brown Christmas. :)
Okay... I was a bit hysterical last night and I am pretty sure I was sober.
I had looked at his schedule awhile back (unless they have added cities in the last few weeks) they aren't anywhere close to me... I think the closest is 6 hours away. I mean not that I wouldn't travel 60 hours to see Rob Thomas (even if he brought his wife along too) but I doubt it will happen.
I will live vicariously through you :) OH how happy you must be.
(I wonder HOW many times I will continue to comment on this Rob post?)
I love Rob Thomas! Love your newest entries :) Sorry I have not been blogging lately! I have been taping shows. What was I thinking?? Hah! Maybe it is a good thing I wasn't thinking! If you get a minute, check it out. I'd love to hear what you think. I am inviting all my blog friends over for feedback. http://www.dishingwithdebbie.com Your stories are great and my whole idea behind this show is for other moms to share real stories like you do. Sponsors are donating neat prizes like chocolate baskets and mini-chef aprons and way cool cookery stuff. Anyway, I'd love to hear from you.
