I moved to a new state in the middle of high school, left a great group of friends and a boyfriend who I was of course convinced was The One. And it sucked.

My dad signed me up for drivers ed at the local high school and there I met a friend who introduced me to another friend who turned out to still be my best friend to this day. And you know at the time it was just ::grumble grumble drivers ed:: but it made all the difference. Here's hoping that the sports team stuff does the same for her this summer. It's really nice to get to meet some of the kids at the school BEFORE the school year starts so that's awesome.

As for the broken hearts and missing old friends? That's what shopping, chick flicks and ice cream are for. You might not be able to make it all better, but you can grieve alongside her and supply the chocolate.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1621436419739808723.post-88808041664051211862009-07-02T20:58:55.737-07:002009-07-02T20:58:55.737-07:00awww, Mom..she'll pull through.
My Girl is 2...awww, Mom..she'll pull through.

My Girl is 23. She called me one day while I was out shopping. She was crying just the same as Shannon. Her first words to me were "I hate boys". You're right, all the eye rolling and mean things went right out the window and all I could say was, Yes Boys are stupid.

I hope Shannon jumps in quickly to all the good things CO has to offer. Oh, and skype is free, she can talk to him every day. Like I do with CGMan all the way over in Abu Dhabi.Dawn in D.C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15507993823949063816noreply@blogger.com
