Whereas, 5 y/o DD has to try one decent-sized bite, or else she gets it dumped on her head. And then she'll need a bath WITH (dunh-dunh-dunh) hairwashing!

It's been over a year now and there's just been small amounts of fussing and NOT ONCE has she had to wear it.

It helps that we're pretty gleeful about the 'wear it' option. WOO HOO! You're not going to try it? Okay, then you have to wear it (sing song) and I get to do it! And then DH insists that no, HE gets to do it. This takes the fight away from her and also gives her the time to make up her mind on whether she REALLY wants to "wear it".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1621436419739808723.post-83818584211210387912010-02-18T16:31:17.441-07:002010-02-18T16:31:17.441-07:00Shelley - you just crack me up!!! No, no grapes. If you put carrots in there I'm not eating them. I can't imagine how hard it would be to change up your cooking/thinking to provide for your vegetarian. I am a vegetarian and could never change my ways to allow for meat in my house. (i wouldn't know where to begin cooking it)
I hate grocery shopping too. I go to three different stores to get the best deals and that's a huge chore with a 6 year old and an 18 month oldMeganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02277680734308361056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1621436419739808723.post-58854359603000589112010-02-01T19:41:22.298-07:002010-02-01T19:41:22.298-07:00I had to snort at "crapatarian" because ...I had to snort at "crapatarian" because I think my husband wished he had come up with it when our daughter was going through I don't eat meat (cicken mcnuggets are not meat!) stage.

OOooh, your green beans sound so good! I was skinny all through middle school and high school and ate like crap, like all teenagers I guess. And it totally came back to slap me in the face later.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1621436419739808723.post-33170372633907094982010-02-01T14:20:33.181-07:002010-02-01T14:20:33.181-07:00I love, love, love my roasted vegetables.
I, too...I love, love, love my roasted vegetables.

I, too, have a vegetarian. My oldest became one after reading the book, "Fast Food Nation." Thanks public school system. At first I called her a processedmeatarain because she included salami and bacon in her diet, but not she's full on no meat. She's good, though. Very, very healthy. Her favorite snack is black beans and yellow rice. It's why she weighs 90 lbs. The rest of us, despite our junk food Thursdays eat very healthy. I'm lucky. But, I still hate to grocery shop. There is no fun to be had in grocery shopping.

Oh and by the way, don't dis your Hunts. I subscribe to Cooks magazine. They do expert taste tests every month of various products. In their ketchup taste test, Hunts beat them all, even Heinz. So, you're buying the good stuff and you didn't even know it!Joann Mannixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11163491824085428085noreply@blogger.com
